H2O!
by Matt on Sep.28, 2009, under Uncategorized
Ray and I cruised down to H2O in Ocean City, MD with Steve, Paul, and Jack! Car performed flawlessly on the 1,300 mile round trip drive from ROC to Ocean City. We make it back Sunday night in around 7 1/2 hours, racing a Porche GT2 in Philly and hitting over 145mph in the PA turnkpike tunnel.
New brakes
by Matt on Sep.22, 2009, under Maintenance
I’ve had a vibration at over 60mph since the spring so I had Jason put the car on the lift. We ran the car at speed on the lift with the wheels/tires off to try and locate the source of the vibration. Jason & Zac think the vibration is the result of crusty brake rotors. I have Jason order new brake OEM rotors and ECB green pads from ECS.
Zac replaces all 4 brakes with OEM rotors and ECB green pads. He also does a brake fluid flush and rewires my front brake sensors to fix the dash light. He also puts a cap on my headlight squirter to keep the fluid from leaking. I <3 Zac. Unfortunately, after $750 in parts, the vibration still exists..
Playing with ECUx
by Matt on Sep.06, 2009, under Logs
I got a copy of ECUx from a friend and set it up on my laptop. He couldn’t get it to work on his laptop so he let me try it. In return, I find a work around to get it working on his laptop. I ran a mediocre 5.2 FATS. The boost (actual) shows a minor fluctuation that I need to figure out. I’m thinking the n75 boost controller is bad.
